Just wanted to say 'Hello and Thank You For Raising My Social and ECological Awareness - Eric from California.
My husband and I would like to thank the organizers of the "Live Earth" concerts on 7/7/07. We took the time to re-think the choices we make. Our greatest hope, following the thoughts of Robert Kennedy Jr, is to get our politicians to wake up or get out. We are all citizens of a great country that can influence deision makers. - Katie.
I think that live earth is a complete farce as people already know about climate change and stuff. to be honest they could help the planet more by not havin all these concerts metaphorically and literally speaking - John from the UK.
Never seen so much Cr*P in my life, do the rest of the animal kindom worry about it? only the human race? yeh so we gonna die, so what we have died for years and always will.
Somebody wants or is making money out of this save the planet rubbish. With old fart rock stars advertising themselves ... what again, Madonna...what a sham, stupid old bag. Go buy a kid Madonna. They are all a joke can't you see it?
They are into saving their own arses not the planet. Well bring global warming on I say, kill off the young shit in the future. Lets face it the youth of today are brain dead. lets start again, and sure it will.
So some animals go, same thing that happened to old T Rex and his mates... good job or we would not be here. Get on with it ...live your life for today.. they will tax it tommorrow.
- Marco.
Would like to get some thoughts going regarding the performances...the choose-your-city internet feed is great....regardless of the cause, these mega-concerts are always interesting moments when great artists can create a magical connection, or just go through the motion and be forgotten as soon as they leave the stage....
GENESIS opened the UK show and were pleasant if undistinguished...Phil Collins was lively but the other chaps looked a bit stiff...RAZORLIGHT and SNOW PATROL also delivered decent sets though did not seize the moment...
SARAH BRIGHTMAN singing in the rain in Shanghai was beautiful, exotic and dramatic...highly recommended if the web allows people to click back to taped performances - RRC.

It's evening here in Canberra, and tomorrow I'll be on my 3 hour trip to Sydney for the Live Earth Concert. Don't forget to bring your camera, hat, sunscreen, water, money and a good attitude. Expect photos up here soon after it's finished.
If you are attending any concert, I would appreciate you e-mailing your photos to the address on the side so we can all see how amazing this event is!
Again, for those Aussies that missed it, here is the running sheet |
